Three new oncologists joined PIH Health and we opened a new clinic location in the Downey area.Other notable achievements related to the strategic plan included the hiring of two neurologists with subspecialty expertise in neuromuscular and movement disorders; our bariatric surgery program that offers surgical options for obesity, which has been closely tied to complications in patients who are diagnosed with COVID-19; and the addition of three new GI specialists, who provide expanded coverage in the Downey market as well as increasing physician support at PIH Health Whittier Hospital.Our expansion and strategic development feels even more meaningful because of the tremendous support and connection we received from our surrounding community.
